Chess Federation Lesotho loses games

Lesotho could only manage sixth position out of 9 countries which took part in the Zone 4.5 virtual games that took place this weekend from October 16-18.

However, not all teams were able to play their first round on October 17 due to technical errors, and Lesotho was in the list of affected teams. The mess was sorted the following day in the early hours.

“The reason behind this loss may have come from network problems that were caused by the online platform errors we came across while playing the game,” the public relations officer of the federation Khiba Selatela stated.

This is how Lesotho performed in all the matches it played:

Round 1: Lesotho 3 VS 7 Zambia

Round 2: Lesotho 2.5 VS 7.5 Zimbabwe

Round 3: Lesotho 0.5 VS 9.5 Angola

Round 4: Lesotho 2.5 VS 7.5 Botswana

Only nine countries Botswana, Angola, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Swaziland, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Lesotho joined the game, and Angola walked away with the Championship.
