WFP has new representative in Lesotho

The UN World Food Programme has announced the appointment of Ms Aurore Rusiga as the new WFP Representative to Lesotho.

Ms Rusiga officially represented her credentials to the minister of foreign affairs and international relations, ‘Matṧepo Ramakoae.

Rusiga was welcomed as the new Country Director and Representative of the World Food Programme to the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. She joins the United Nations Lesotho from Burkina Faso where she served as World Food Program Deputy Country Director since 2016.

Over a career spanning 25 years with WFP, Rusiga has served a variety of progressive assignments in Zambia, Senegal, Malawi as well as her home country Burundi.
