Snow fall expected

Scattered widespread rains are expected from Thursday 29 late in the afternoon until Friday, April 30, with snowfall mainly over high-lying areas.

There have been episode of light snowfall in the highlands on April 22 and 23 2021. The occurrence of snowfall was signaling the onset of winter which is characterized by snowfall and very cold conditions.

Information coming out of the Lesotho Meteorological Services (LMS) says cold to very cold conditions are anticipated from Thursday April 29 to Saturday, May 1, 2021, countrywide.

“Temperatures are expected to improve slightly from Sunday May 2. The nation is however encouraged to take necessary precautions during this period and stay tuned to local media for regular updates from LMS,” LMS said yesterday.
