Letshego, Alliance partner on new funeral plan

By Neo Kolane

Financial service provider, Letshego Lesotho has partnered with Alliance Insurance Company to launch a new family funeral insurance product called ‘Sekhele Funeral Plan’.

The product was launched today in Maseru.

The two companies said their partnership provides Basotho with an opportunity to access more affordable funeral insurance services and a wide range of innovative and diversified products.

Speaking during the launch on behalf of the chief executive officer of Letshego Lesotho, Selloane Tsike, the company’s chief financial officer, Abia Moabi, said the Sekhele Funeral Plan is a result of their commitment to develop innovative solutions that increase value for customers.

The new product would also help in creating a positive social impact for communities, Moabi said.

He noted that the plan enables clients to make appropriate after-life arrangements and bespoke burial services.

“Our efficient partnership with Alliance Insurance Company enables fast turnaround times to expedite claims processing to quickly offer empathetic support to grieving family members during their difficult times,” he added.

On his part, Letshego Lesotho’s Thabo Sebetoane explained that the Sekhele Funeral Plan is available in Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum options.

Monthly premiums range from as low as M41 to M103 for the member-only options and M56 to M188 for the comprehensive family plan.

“Each basic cover option includes premium cash-back benefit and a free accidental death benefit during the period of insurance,” he said.

Head of employee benefits at Alliance Insurance, Relebohile Seshemane Kalake said the company is very proud to collaborate on the product with a  professional brand of Letshego Lesotho’s calibre.

Kalake noted that Alliance is even prouder to be associated with Sekhele Funeral Cover, a product that offers more options for Basotho to protect themselves and their loved ones in the eventual moment of bereavement.
