Nedbank sponsors Maseru City Run

Nedbank Lesotho is pumping M100,000 into the third edition of the annual Maseru City Run.
The run comprises five categories; 1.6km, 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km and will take place on February 23, 2025.
During the announcement yesterday, the head of marketing and communications, Sekonyela Matamane, said Nedbank believes in the power of community and promoting healthy lifestyles.
Matamane said the bank’s sponsorship of the Run is a testament to their commitment to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all age groups.
He said through this partnership, they will not just run for fitness but for a cause.
“It is important for Nedbank Lesotho to actively support initiatives that raise awareness about health and well-being of the Basotho nation.
“It is our belief that this partnership demonstrates our dedication to creating a healthier and more financially savvy society,” Matamane noted.
The director operations of the Maseru City Run, Sam Rapapa, expressed gratitude for this partnership.
Rapapa said during their first race they had no sponsorship but went ahead nonetheless.
“Having a partnership with the banking industry shows that we have grown,” he added.
