Sports waiting on govt greenlight

By Kefiloe Kajane

Sports, gender and creation minister Likeleli Tampane says her ministry is waiting for the ministry of health’s go-ahead for resumption of sporting activities in the country.

Tampane said although they would want to resume, they would rather be advised by the ministry of health on the precautionary measures to take while practicing for sports.

She said different sports associations had submitted requests to be allowed to resume games. This after football leagues in Europe resumed their matches.

Lesotho has so far reported 27 cases of corona virus of which four have recovered, and there are no reported deaths.
