Ministry hosts reforms, governance programme

The ministry of justice and law will tomorrow host a media sensitisation meeting in Maseru on reforms and governance.

The session will be hosted with the support from the European Union under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF) coordinating the implementation of “Support for the Reforms and Strengthening of Governance in Lesotho Programme”.

The overall objective of the programme is to foster the rule of law, good governance, human rights and gender equality in Lesotho.

The project officially began on March 9, 2023 and will end on March 8, 2027.

The purpose of tomorrow’s meeting is to provide an overview of the programme including: its design, objectives, outputs, and the anticipated benefits for Basotho, particularly for the vulnerable and marginalised groups.

Additionally, participants will discuss the role of the media in enhancing the viability of the programme and its impact on access to justice and governance.
