Lesotho, Japan to strengthen bilateral relations

The Prime Minister of Japan, Ishiba Shigeru, has expressed his desire to work together to further strengthen bilateral relationships with Lesotho.
Shigeru said this week during a meeting with Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane, who is visiting Japan to participate in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference African Development.
Shigeru also announced that Japan will provide food assistance to Lesotho.
“Japan will continue to support food security and human resource development,” he said.
Japan would also work with Lesotho to promote renewable energy through the rehabilitation of small-scale hydropower generation.
Matekane also expressed his commitment to boostu bilateral relations with Japan.
