Agency to host fashion week

Exclusive Model Agency will host the Naleli Fashion Week (NFW) from 12 to 15 February.

Founder and director, Mojalefa Kolobe, said the platform celebrates fashion and art.

He said the organisation envisions a space where designers and artists freely showcase their talents, pushing boundaries and expressing themselves without limits.

NFW is the reimagined successor to Kasi Fashion Expo, a pioneering event launched at Lehakoe in 2022.

Since its inception, Kasi Fashion Expo hosted three impactful events, laying the groundwork for Lesotho’s fashion scene.

Now rebranded as Nalane Fashion Week, this show is poised to take local fashion to new heights, building on past successes while embracing fresh energy and expanded ambitions.

“With a renewed focus on creativity and inclusivity, NFW is set to be a highlight on Lesotho’s cultural calendar,” Kolobe noted.

He indicated that the event aims to empower local talent, provide exposure, and foster collaboration within the country’s thriving creative community.

By embracing diversity and innovation, NFW promises an unforgettable experience for fashion enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

Kolobe pointed out that securing sufficient sponsorships has affected their efforts to bring the show to life.

However, despite this, the team remains undeterred, geared to push forward and showcase local fashion talent.

Exclusive Model Agency’s resilience underscores the event’s importance in promoting local creativity, and they are counting on community support to make the show a sustainable success.

Kolobe said they have forged impactful collaborations, teaming up with Limkokwing University’s Faculty of Innovation and Lifestyle to blend academic creativity with industry flair.

“We have also secured support from key sponsors like Skylive Studio, and this is helping us to amplify our reach,” he stated.

Such partnerships not only boost the event’s profile but also inject fresh energy into Lesotho’s fashion scene.

Kolobe added that they are open to working with anyone to elevate NFW and increase its impact.
