Rapper belts out Valentine’s Day track

By Neo Kolane

Local crooner K-Just is due to release a song he is dedicating to Valentine’s Day tomorrow, which he says is a declaration of his feelings for his partner.

Valentine’s Day is celebrated every year on February 14. It is a day when people show their affection for another person or people by sending cards, flowers or chocolates with messages of love

Born and bred in Mokhotlong, K-Just whose real name is Koete Makaka tells theReporter that the inspiration behind the song that is titled ‘Backdrop’ and featuring Lemo comes from the love he has shares with his partner. ‘Backdrop’ is a love song and will be out in time for lovers to celebrate love on Valentine’s Day.

It took a while for K-Just to realise he had the talent to sing, and when he finally did awaken to the fact that he could sing, he decided it was his way of putting bread on the table.

Twenty-six-year old K-Just revealed a tender side to him as he explains that Valentine’s Day means a day his love receives attention and expressions of love from him; a day when both partners share each other’s beautiful attention.

He has in the past collaborated with legends of the game, the likes of Mantśa Mohale on his song Letsatsi Nkemele remix.

K-just, who is also known for songs like ‘Ngoan’a Moafrika’ and ‘Mohaisane’. has also performed at local and South African events like the ‘Maletsunyane Braai Festival, Soweto Camp, Tertiary Night, Tornado Park and Maseru Summer Festivals, to mention a few.

He emphasized that he is constantly learning from his mistakes, which he accepts and acknowledges that they can only make him a better person.
