By Kefiloe Kajane

The minister of communications, science and technology, Keketso Sello, has revealed key decisions that government is due to implement in the immediate future.

In a statement released on Thursday, Sello said cabinet has granted the ministry of law to amend inheritence laws most of which are antiquated and out of touch with contemporary needs and practices.

On the Covid-19, Sello said the government of Lesotho has signed an indemnity agreement with manufacturers of Covid-19 vaccine.

He added that cabinet has given the ministry of health the greenlight to enter into an agreement with the vaccine manufacturers of Covid-19 vaccine such that the government takes responsibility in the deployment and administration of the vaccine.

“The vaccine has gone through extensive research and has been approved by the World Health Organization.

“It was agreed that His Majesty King Letsie III will be the first to receive the vaccine, followed by the Prime Minister, his deputy, the minister of health, and the rest of the leadership which includes church leaders and chiefs who will opt in.”
