SR MP quits parliament

‘Mants’ali Phakoana

Member of Parliament representing Socialist Revolutionaries (SR) on Proportional Representation (PR) ‘Mamarame Matela has resigned from parliament effective today.

Matela notified the Speaker of the National Assembly about her resignition in a letter dated October 19, 2023.

The letter titled: ‘Re: notice for resignation as a Member of Parliament of the eleventh Parliament of Lesotho reads: “I hereby, with deepest and great regret tender my resignation as a Member of Parliament.

“I would be grateful to receive guidance from your good office on any other processes that are required for purposes of effecting the resignition to completion.

“I remain eternally grateful for the immense learning experience from your good office and the Members of the eleventh Parliament of Parliament as a whole in the last year,” she said.
