The Minister of Health, ’Mamokete Ntšekhe, will officiate the closing ceremony of the Oral Health Awareness campaign on Thursday in Leribe.
The event will be held under the theme: “A Healthy Mouth, Is A Happy Mind.”
The campaign comes amid growing concern over oral diseases in Lesotho, where tooth decay, gum disease, and limited access to dental services remain major public health challenges, particularly in rural districts.
Health officials say poor oral hygiene is linked to other conditions including diabetes and heart disease, and that awareness drives are key to improving prevention at community level.
