The United Nations (UN) is hosting the UN Day Youth Festival today at Makoanyane Square in Lesotho, bringing together young people to celebrate entrepreneurship, creativity and partnerships.
The festival aims to recognise the role of young people in shaping the country’s future while promoting youth empowerment and collaboration towards building a better society.
The event will feature a range of activities, including music, creative performances and opportunities for young people to engage with initiatives focused on youth development.
In addition to the entertainment and empowerment activities, attendees will have the opportunity to donate blood, receive free health checks and learn more about the work of various UN agencies operating in Lesotho.
Organisers have encouraged the public, particularly young people, to attend the event and participate in the day’s activities.
“Come through for a day of music, creativity, youth empowerment and celebrating the future we want to build together!” the organisers said in a statement.
