SRC’s plan to petition PM

By Neo Kolane

The Federations of University SRC’s in Lesotho have expressed deep concern at the continuing violence and brutal killings of students in their different places of sojourn.

This after last weekend’s gruesome death of a female student of Lerotholi Polytechnic, who was gang-raped and killed at Thabong in Maseru.

Thabo Davidson, secretary general of Limkokwing University of Creative Technology SRC told theReporter this morning that they are planning to request a police permit to deliver a petition of their grievances to the Prime Minister and the Commissioner of Police.

“We are not going to let this issue slide; we say enough is enough. We are tired of students coming to school to learn only to end up being raped or attacked.”

Davidson also mentioned that there had been cases of students who reside at Sea Point, who had their laptops stolen.
