LHDA announced Polihali Dam and Tunnel construction to go out to open tender

The Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA) has cancelled the prequalification for the construction of the Polihali Dam and Polihali Transfer Tunnel initiated in 2019 and will shortly commence an open tender process for these Phase II water transfer main works.

The decision to go to open tender follows extensive consultation with key project authorities and the lenders. This was after it was established that some of the Lenders’ requirements were not adequately addressed in the prequalification process – the Lenders came on board after the prequalification exercise had begun.

The tenders will be advertised in local, international and regional media and on the LHDA and Lender’s website.
