Mine hands over prosthetic leg

By Neo Kolane

Letšeng Diamonds Mine through the Letšeng Staff Fund handed over a prosthetic leg worth Over M38 000 to Mojaki Mphatene, an amputee from Matelile in Mafeteng.

The Staff Fund was established by Letšeng Diamonds employees in 2015 with the aim of  to making contributions out of their pockets for charitable causes in Mokhotlong and other places across the country

During the handover, the chief executive officer of Letšeng Mine, Kelebone Leisanyane thanked the Letšeng staff for the gesture to extend help where it is needed most.

Leisanyane said the mine received an email from its offices in London in May this year, describing the plight of Mphathene, who lost a leg when he fell from the second floor of a building in Gauteng South Africa.

For his part, Mphatene said he had almost lost hope of ever receiving help, hence he is very thankful to Letšeng.
