Lu Srenk and HBK Sharkboy drop LOL

By Neo Kolane

Hip-Hop artist Lu Srenk released his music video with a hit song LOL that features rapper HBK Sharkboy recently as part of his Experimental Project (EP) ‘Bear In A Dog House’.

The 22-year old said LOL video was patiently shot and “edited because it took the team a year and a few months to work on everything necessary for the production.”  A shooting task commenced in December 2020 and ended in March 2021.

“All the footage was arranged, cut accordingly and edited marvellously by INSYNCT MEDIA, a visual and audio editing company owned by Lethaha Thamae.

“The impact of all the scenes and shots characterise the video as really an outstanding make,” Srenk said.

Shrent, who grew up in Koalabata in the district of Maseru, told theReporter LOL is a song he did when he was “feeling down but did not want to let that condition to wipe me away.”

Born Khethisa Victor Mothiba, he suggested that his unwavering ambition kept him going as he stood firm to stay in his job.

The devoted musical artist said his music is inspired by different life stories, his aspirations and realising his new discoveries, thoughts clouding his mind and the experiences he undergoes in life.

“I think in every song I make, I always try to bring a different flavour and concept, different patterns by playing a leading role.

“The drive to release new music comes easy as there is always new content to put out and constant demand from supportive fans.

“The inspiration and motivations that I get everyday also plays a huge role in the creation of music,”  Srenk said.

He revealed that him and HBK happened to work on the same projects together so he was present at MJ Elphy’s Witness The Skill studios, where the song was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered.

The song is available on YouTube and all digital platforms including Spotify (which is now available in Lesotho) ITunes and other major stores worldwide.

He is popular in performing at different stages like Keys to the City, Art meets Art, The Come Up, The love letter, The Jungle party as well as Defence the trap.
