Khauhelo showcases her all

By Neo Kolane

Up and coming actress Khauhelo Seliane is convinced that she is doing well in her current project called Soul Connected.

Soul Connected is a short film about a young girl named Mookho played by Khauhelo Seliane who left home after her priest father turned her into a sex slave, to live in the woods.

The film was shot between January 3-8 this year by The Hub Morija.

“Before this project which I consider as emotional, I had cast in an act where I had to be comic. I would basically say what is different about me is that unlike most actors, I am capable of casting as a different character, either horrifying, adventurous, comic or emotional,” Khauhelo said.

Seventeen-year old Khauhelo revealed that she is able to portray different characters in a single movie. She fell in love with acting at a young age.

“In 2020 I got an opportunity from a cinematographer from Morija to be an extra for some film and from there I held on to such and it is paying off very well.

“The people who had to be part of the acting were not available and I had to fill in for them by actually taking on the role,” Khauhelo explained.

She further said the crew complimented her and something in her told her not to look back.

The Morija-born performer has casted in three films up to date.

Khauhelo says being able to portray different characters helps her in perfecting her acting skill.

“I do not regard acting as a hobby because I love it with all my heart,” Khauhelo said.

In an interview with theReporter, local actor and directorAyesha Khuele attested that Khauhelo is an excellent actress.

“She is brilliant and I believe she has potential in this industry,” Ayesha said
