Women talk self-love

By Neo Kolane

A beautiful Itumeleng Ranthimo hosted a Galantines event to celebrate an everlasting friendship called Sisterhood along with her female friends and family.

Galantines is marked a day before Valentine’s Day which falls on February 14.

Initially, it was exclusively meant for single women who have no one to spend Valentine’s Day with. The women decided to spend the day with their peers.

Held at Matholeng in the Berea district on last Saturday, the venue was filled with all stunning ladies who had come to join Itumeleng in marking and celebrating sisterhood.

In her remarks, Itumeleng who is also a mother, said that the galantine is for all ladies to guide each other to encourage self-esteem.

She explained that self-love is important and therefore each one of the attendees should learn from one another.

During the occasion, Keletso Ntlhakana was mindful of how women really wanted to support each other in order to be better people., adding that women could embrace sisterhood in life. She warned against unwarranted pride in order to lean on one another.

The exquisite Keletso strongly advised women to love themselves first and build on good relationships with one another.

“For a very long time women were made to feel guilty for loving themselves because they were always told that they are selfish; that they do not love their partners nor children.

“We have learned that our mothers lived the live the way they did because they fell in the trap that women should give out the love and care without actually loving themselves first,” she said.

Another attendee, Tebello Pholo also encouraged women to seek services of the therapists and psychologists in order to stay strong.

She said such services are surely to change their lives to be better persons who can face real life challenges on a daily basis.
