Melanin Drip Queen hits the shelves

By Neo Kolane

Hip-Hop artist Lu Srenk has released an afro-pop song titled Melanin Drip Queen, a club banger that is composed with African rhythms and keys.

The hit song was released on May 19 2022 and is available on digital platforms and free streaming sites worldwide.

The hit-maker Lu Srenk explained to the theReporter that Melanin Drip Queen is a phrase or statement that simply means African Queen or Black Queen put in a modern day slay.

He said it is basically an appreciation to Black women especially during this difficult time.

The song is produced, mixed and mastered by the multi-talented producer, DJ and musician MJ Elphy.

Mj Elphy also produced multi hit records like Lu Srenk’s LOL, Ride or Die and Nobody by Malome Vector.

“A whole Goddess, a whole stylist… You don’t need no guidance, you are a diamond, keep shinning and I will be your provider,” he says in his lyrics.

Born Khethisa Victor Mothiba, he said the target market of the song is the youth aged between 10 and 28 while the secondary target market is people who are aged between 28 and 35 years.

“The inspiration came from the intriguing influence and penetration the afro pop genre has been making in the world through the years.

“With this single, I hope to bring life in dying couples and to inspire our fellow youth to spread love and become better partners.

The devoted musical artist said his music is inspired by different life stories, his aspiration and realisation and his new discoveries and anything he thinks about, feels and sees.

He further said that people are loving it after its submission and play on local radio stations in the country. Its reception has been impressive

“Melanin Drip Queen has been getting so much love in the streets… Keep tuning to your favorite local radio stations and you will surely love it,” Lu Srenk said on one of his status on Facebook.
