Resort cancels ski slopes for this winter

By Neo Kolane

Lesotho’s largest tourist attraction in winter, Afriski Mountain Resort’s slope will not take place this year.

The organisers of the resort took to social media last week to announce the disappointing news.

In the announcement, the company said that it regrets to inform its dear valued friends of Afriski that the ski slopes will not be open for the winter 2023 season.

According to the Afriski Mountain Resort, this is the first time since 2009 that Afriski is not able to provide a winter adventure.

“We understand that this may require some of our guests to cancel their bookings, and we will make every effort to ensure a smooth process for you.”

Afriski Moutain Resort went on to say, “we apologize for the limited communication, but we felt it was important to let you know that we are still here, we are doing our best, and we appreciate your support.

“We understand that this news may be disappointing, but we hope to have your continued support as we work towards a brighter future. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us,” the announcement read.
