Ministry officers receive counselling

By Matṧeliso Phulane

Professional psychologist Masefabatho Sula has encouraged staff members of the ministry of small business development, cooperatives and marketing to build team work, create a good environment at work and control their anger so as to have a direction.

This comes amid the frustration and pain experienced by the staff due to changes made by the new government, whereby departments were split and merged with other ministries. The staff will be parting ways on April,1.

The ministry of small business which is now called Trade and industry, business development and tourism was also not left behind in such decision.

At the same occasion which was held at the ministry’s premises, Sula offered a physiological exercise through crafting whereby teams were crafting as a way of shifting their minds, discussing and sharing ideas to build team work.

The director of human resources ‘Mareitumetse Sehau said the ministry had decided to not only offer the counselling session but to also take part in celebrating Moshoeshoe’s month as they were wearing their Sesotho attire.

Sehau said the ministry hosts such events more often to gather the staff together after they have noticed that employees were losing interest in going to work; some were reluctant to participate in official assignments.
