Corporate Challenge is back

Neo Kolane

Events management company Black Mix has announced the return of its popular team-building contest, the Corporate Challenge, which will be held on October 13.

The highly anticipated ninth edition of the annual event will be held under the theme ‘The Ultimate Team-Building Experience’ at Maseru Mall.

The Corporate Challenge is renowned as the largest team-building event in Lesotho, promoting a healthy lifestyle, fitness, and fostering friendly competition.

Designed to break the monotony of daily office routines, boost company staff morale, and enhance communication among employees, this event has become a must-attend affair.

In a statement issued this week, the chief executive officer of Black Mix, Manisha Black, said the legendary team-building event promises to deliver an unforgettable experience, bigger and better than ever before.

Black indicated that since its inception in 2013, Corporate Challenge has experienced remarkable growth, with the number of participants soaring from 300 to almost 800.

She noted that representatives from over 100 corporates and other organisations across Lesotho gather at the event, creating an incredible networking opportunity in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

“Corporate Challenge 2023 will feature approximately 19 obstacles catering to various levels of fitness, ranging from easy to difficult. Covering a distance of approximately 2.97 km, participants are advised to come prepared with their oldest, most comfortable sneakers, as mud will remain a core element of the event,” Black said.

While the event will be timed to add an interactive and competitive element, she noted, “the true essence of the challenge is not about winners and losers, but rather about fostering team camaraderie, promoting teamwork, and, above all, having fun.”

Black added that by participating in the Corporate Challenge 2023, organisations will have an unparalleled platform to showcase its team spirit, culture, and commitment to employee well-being.

The move to limit entries to a maximum 700 participants allows the organisers to prioritise quality over quantity, ensuring Corporate Challenge 2023 surpasses all expectations.

The entry fee is M3200 per team, with each team comprising five members.

Team entries opened on June 9, 2023, and tickets can be purchased online through Black Mix Lesotho’s website.

“Further details about the event will be shared across various platforms and media channels, guaranteeing that Corporate Challenge 2023 will be an event worth remembering, leaving a lasting impression on all participants,” Black said.
