Prime Minister Ntsokoane Matekane has appointed new Principal Secretaries (PSs).
The appointments, with immediate effect, were made in terms of Section 139 (1) and (2) of the constitution, a press statement released by the office of the government secretary said.
Dr Moeketsi Letele is now the PS in the ministry of education and training. He replaces Dr John Oliphant.
The outgoing chief executive officer of the ruling Revolution for Prosperity (RFP) party, Kanono Ramashamole is now PS of information, communication, science, technology. He takes over from Lira Moeti.
Mpho Marathane is now the PS of gender and youth, sports art and social development while the former acting PS in the ministry of defence, national security service and environment, Mabataung Khalane, is now substantive PS.
The prime minister also appointed Thabang Lekhela as PS for foreign affairs and international relations. Acting public service, labour and employment PS, ’Makhoabane Ledimo is now substantive in the position, so is acting PS in the ministry of law, justice and parliamentary affairs, Lira Ralebese.
