SADC has reiterated the urgent need for all stakeholders in Lesotho, particularly political parties in the National Assembly, to ensure that the national reforms process is brought to finality.
An Extraordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government held in Angola on November 3, 2023 noted that the passing of the reforms would be in the interest of the country’s political, economic and security stability.
The summit also discussed the consolidation of peace, security, and governance in the region.
Prime minister Sam Matekane attended the meeting which was officially opened and chaired by the President of Angola and chairperson of SADC, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
