Staff Reporter

The 2023 edition of the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle, the iconic lifestyle experience event, is back with a bang and ready to captivate festival goers with an unforgettable celebration; intertwining food, fashion and music.

Embracing the theme of African royalty, this year’s event promises an exciting immersion into the rich cultural tapestry of Lesotho and Africa. The highly anticipated event is set to take place at the scenic Thaba-Bosiu Cultural Village in Maseru on Saturday, December 23, 2023.

With a fusion of culinary delights, haute couture and soulful music, the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle is a testament to Lesotho’s rich heritage. This year’s event boasts a line-up of musical talent, featuring the acclaimed performances of Mi Casa, Mafikizolo, themagnetic energy of Ntate Stunna coming from his recent SAMA Best Album Award, the captivating vocals of Mookho Moqhali, the soulful Monique Bingham and more.

Attendees can expect a feast that traverses different music genres and captivates the mind. Beyond the vibrant musical offerings, the event boasts an array of local brands and fashion exhibitors for attendees to explore and engage that pay homage to Basotho and African artistry and innovation.

This year’s thematic embodiment of African royalty promises an immersive experience like no other. Revellers are encouraged to embrace the theme of African royalty by adorning themselves in local and African regal attire. Their efforts will not be in vain as the Standard Lesotho Bank LETOFE Lifestyle introduces an exhilarating “Best Dressed Competition” where 13 lucky winners will be crowned for their outstanding style and creativity in interpreting the theme, each walking away with great prizes.

The winners’ announcement will form part of the event’s highlights, creating a buzz of excitement amongst attendees.

Commenting on this initiative, Marketing Manager, PR, Communications and Sponsorships, Manyathela Kheleliof Standard Lesotho Bank said; “The festive season embodies a spirit of generosity, and this competition is our gesture of gratitude to the Basotho community for their unwavering support of our institution, all in the spirit of fun and creativity”. The event organisers are committed to making the event safe, inclusive, accessible and fun.

As the country normally experiences rain during this time of the year, revellers are advised to come prepared for possible weather fluctuations; bringing sweaters for the chill, raincoats and gumboots for potential downpours is recommended.

The event is not expected to only dazzle but also contribute to the vibrant landscape local and African music, food, and fashion and the country’s attractions.
