GEM Institute volunteer up for murder

The GEM Institute says it is grappling with the arrest of one of its dedicated volunteers, Lintle Letima, in connection with the death of her boyfriend. 

Letima handed herself over to the police on Friday after she allegedly fatally assaulted her boyfriend during a row.

She appeared in court today and was granted M1,000 bail.

The GEM Institute has expressed heartfelt condolences to all affected by this tragic incident, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to promoting non-violence and supporting the community during this challenging time.

The institute has publicly stated their intention to fully cooperate with authorities as investigations continue. 

They have also extended their gratitude to the public and media for their understanding and respect as they navigate these difficult circumstances.

In a statement, the GEM Institute highlighted their ongoing dedication to combating violence and fostering a safer environment for all. 

They reiterated their mission to support peace and non-violence, standing firm in their resolve despite the current challenges.
