VCL report shows significant growth

Vodacom Lesotho has released its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report for the year ended March 2025 fiscal year, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable growth and digital empowerment.

In a press release issued yesterday, the company says it has connected over 1.6 million Basotho, continuing its crucial role in bridging the digital divide.

“This achievement translates to a 93.6 percent mobile connection penetration rate, empowering individual Basotho and businesses alike to flourish in the digital economy,” the report noted.

The telecommunication giant also prides that about 884,000 smartphones are actively connected to its network.

Tšepo Ntaopane, Vodacom Lesotho Executive Head of External Affairs and Regulatory said their 2024/25
ESG achievements are a clear manifestation of their commitment to connecting Basotho,
protecting the environment and building enduring trust through responsible business practices.

Ntaopane said Vodacom Lesotho is immensely proud to serve as a catalyst for inclusive growth and sustainable development in the country.

“We remain committed to leveraging technology to build a brighter future for all
Basotho,” he said.
