Sehlabathebe power project to resume

The US$1.5 million Sehlabathebe rural solar electrification project will resume in the second week of this month, the National Assembly heard yesterday.

Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Natural Resources, Mohlomi Moleko, the Minister of Education and Training, Professor Ntoi Rapapa, said the project had been halted for about three years after the service provider, One Power, reportedly encountered some financial challenges.

“The matter has been solved and equipment fordoing the job is now available,” he said, adding that work will commence the second week of September.
