Ha Ts’osane residents win landmark settlement over dumpsite

The government has allocated M20 million to stabilise, rehabilitate, and close the Ha Ts’osane dumpsite, after signing a deed of settlement with local residents.

The settlement marks a pivotal moment for the community, led by applicants Taole Mangope, SetenaneSekhonyana, Raphael Teisi, ‘Mampolokeng Thamae, Palesa Mangope, ‘Mabahlakoana Kobo, and Thabo Molapo.
