The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) has published names of public officials and parastatal heads who submitted asset, interest and liability declarations for 2025/26.
In a publication released on 12 June 2026, DCEO said the disclosure promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in public office under the Prevention of Corruption and Economic Offences Act 1999 and its Regulations.
The purpose is to ensure officials’ assets correspond with their earnings.
Only names of compliant officials were made public. DCEO stated that contents and details of the declarations remain protected and confidential.
Prime Minister Sam Matekane appeared on the list of 14 Cabinet members who declared. Other ministers listed included Thabo Mofosi, PitsoLesaoana, Richard Ramoeletsi, SelibeMochoboroane, and Nthomeng Majara.
Government Secretary Teboho Malisebo ‘Mokeladeclared alongside 10 principal secretaries including Ts’epang Patricia Koele and Relebohile Genevieve Lebeta. Eight deputy principal secretaries also complied, including Lisema Lekhooana and SebokaThamae.
Only two members of the National Assembly: Lekhetho Rakuoane and Mohopoli Monokoane from the National Assembly and one Senator SempeMasupha declared.
DCEO Director General Adv. Brig. Mants’o Selloled 11 other DCEO officers who submitted declarations. The Ministry of Defence and Lesotho Defence Force submitted the longest list with over 50 officers ranging from Major General LineoNtsonyana Poopa to lieutenant colonels.
The Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Culture, and Ministry of Public Service also had officials on the compliant list.
DCEO said legal action will be taken against public officials and parastatal heads who failed to declare, in accordance with Regulation 66(5)(e) of the Act.
