The Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) has officially commenced new water connections across all its 16 service centres nationwide.
WASCO said for years it relied on external contractors to carry out new water connections. However, following concerns and public outcry, it has now taken a strategic decision to perform this function in-house to improve efficiency, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
“WASCO would like to reassure customers who paid for new water connections but have not yet been connected that the process has now begun. We’re committed to ensuring all pending connections are attended to,” the company noted in a statement yesterday, adding that while there have been some delays in fully adhering to the structured connection schedule due to operational demands, it remains firmly on track to deliver on its commitment.
Customers are advised that connection schedules are available at all WASCO centres.
