World Vision International Lesotho will officially launch its new organisational child wellbeing strategy in Koeneng Area Development Programme in the Berea District tomorrow.
Under the theme “Transforming Lives, Empowering Communities with Agile, Low-Cost, High-Impact Programs,” the strategy outlines a ramework for collaboration with communities to drive sustainable change for children and families across Lesotho.
The event marks the start of a renewed approach aimed at improving child wellbeing across Lesotho through community-driven development.
The launch is the first phase of the strategy rollout and underscores World Vision’s commitment to placing communities at the centre of its work. A broader national launch involving government ministries, development partners, and other key stakeholders is expected to follow at a later stage.
The plan prioritises ending violence against children in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 16. It also seeks to promote access to good health and the wellbeing of children of all ages in line with Sustainable Development Goal 3. This reflects a dual focus on protection and holistic child development.
