The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations, Limpho Tau, yesterday participated in the Virtual Extraordinary Meeting of the SADC Ministerial Committee of the Organ on Politics, Defence and Security Cooperation in his capacity as the incoming Chairperson of the SADC Organ Troika for 2026/2027.
According to a government statement, the meeting was convened to consider the operationalisation of the SADC Liaison Office in Madagascar. This is a key institutional mechanism established to support the implementation of SADC decisions and to strengthen regional engagement in consolidating peace, security, democracy and governance in the Republic of Madagascar.
