Dynamic Duo to drop new single today

The much-anticipated single, ‘Khotla’, by the Dynamic Duo is set drop today at Kasi Kota at the Hapita circle during the now popular ‘Maluti Friday’ event.

Khotla is a collaborative effort of two female artists, Tholoana Mosisili and Tamia Phooko, who make up the Dynamic Duo.

Produced at KRT Studios in Maseru, Khotla can best be described as a uniquely new sound bent on traditional Basotho or African rhythms.

The single addresses challenges faced by many people in a rapidly changing world, where cultural heritage is at risk of being overshadowed by globalisation and modernisation. The artists aim to inspire individuals to reconnect with their roots, fostering a sense of pride and appreciation for their ancestral traditions.

Organisers of the event says they have decided to launch the single during the ‘Maluti Friday’ gig as there will be many people to witness the launch of the new offering as well as to support the local alcoholic brand.

Supporting acts at the event include artists and Djs such as Nosta, Megz, Naestro, Pablo Dj, Bootz, Puzzled, Lordlets, Dimmo and Dee. The event will be MC’eed by Boobz, the organisers say as they also promised a whole night of enchanting musical madness.

The collaboration between Tamia and Tholoana on Khotla promises to become a celebration of unity in diversity, thus encouraging listeners to embrace their cultural identities while also tapping into future possibilities.
