Econet announces campaign grand prize winner

‘Makatleho Mosiuoa of Ha Tsolo in Maseru was over the moon yesterday after she was announced the ultimate winner of the Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) Hoa Hlamatseha festive campaign M200,000 grand prize.

She received her cheque at a glittering event held at Ha Tsolo on Friday.

Dubbed #EconetBlueOceans, the campaign was launched by the giant telecommunications company in November 2023 to create lasting relationships with its customers.

It also seeks to ensure that customer loyalty goes beyond the quality of service ETL provides.

The campaign further underscores Econet’s dedication to lead the way in shaping the future of the digital revolution in Lesotho as well as reinforcing the company as a leader in innovation.

Econet Telecom Lesotho’s general manager of marketing, communications and customer experience, ‘Mapusetso Ntšekhe said the campaign has undoubtedly been able to raise the bar for them.

Ntšekhe said the company has been able to witness and experience a positive impact in the lives of its many esteemed customers across the country’s 10 districts.

“Handing over the M200,000 grand prize cheque to ‘M’e ‘Makatleho as the winner of the final prize money, from the M2 million we had set aside for this campaign, symbolises Econet’s devotion to meaningfully impact the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.

“In a world where communication is crucial, Econet is not only bridging the digital gap but also creating a bridge of shared joy and celebration,” Ntšekhe said.

To stand a chance to win, subscribers sent SMSs and purchased calling or data bundles.
