By Neo Kolane

Friday, April 19, marked the fifth convocation of the Botho University (BU) that saw the conferment of degrees to 300 graduates.

The country head of Botho University Maseru Campus, ‘Makhosi Hlalele, urged the graduates to reflect on the knowledge and experiences they have gained while at the institution.

Hlalele also advised them to embrace the challenges that lie ahead with confidence and optimism, knowing that they are well prepared to face the world.

In her remarks, Botho University vice chancellor Dr Sheela Raja Ram said the graduation ceremony marks the beginning of a new journey as the graduates build their careers and personalities.

Raja Ram congratulated the Lesotho class of 2023 for completing their degrees and also learning to adapt and deal with the disruptive changes the Covid pandemic brought.

“The pandemic accelerated how we adopt technology and accept new ways of learning and collaborating.

“It is indeed an exciting time to be entering the world of work and therefore, we will continue to witness immense changes in the way we work and engage with each other,” she noted.
