Road Fund CEO Makara steps down

By Neo Kolane

The Road Fund chief executive officer, Nkekeletse Makara, is leaving the organisation at the end of this month after 11 years at the helm.

In a statement, the Road Fund noted that Makara joined the company in April 2013, and he made significant contributions to its growth and success during his tenure.

“Owing to his remarkable leadership, Makara exits his role in the middle of his tenure as the chairperson of the African Road Maintainance Funds Association Southern Africa Focal Group known as ASADG. He has been leading ASAFG for one and half years.

“The board, management and staff of Road Fund remain grateful to have had the chief executive officer of Makara’s calibre; his intelligence, integrity and determination will forever be cherished,” the statement said.
