VLF supports NUL visually impaired learners

The Vodacom Lesotho Foundation (VLF) has donated essential assistive devices to visually impaired learners at the National University of Lesotho (NUL).

This initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities and bridge the gap faced by these students in their academic pursuits.

During the handover ceremony over the weekend  at NUL’s main campus in Roma, the Foundation presented 13 recorders and 10 c-pens designed specifically for learners with visual impairments. The devices are equipped with advanced technology that allows them to read printed text aloud, significantly improving classroom engagement and facilitating efficient note-taking and assignment completion.

Vodacom Lesotho’s manager for external affairs and public policy, Katleho Pefole, emphasized the importance of this donation, stating, “We are committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where all students can access educational resources and excel.”

This commitment aligns with the Foundation’s broader goal of ensuring that no one is left behind, particularly among differently-abled individuals.
