Vodacom donates computer labs

Vodacom Lesotho, through its Vodacom LesothoFoundation, has donated three computer labs to St Paul School for the Deaf, and Mount Royal Primary and High Schools in Hlotse Leribe.

Speaking at the ceremony on Wednesday this week, Vodacom Lesotho CEO, Mohale Ralebitso, thanked Vodacom customers whose patronage has enabled the company to provide computer labs to the three schools.

Ralebitso recognised the important role that the schools were playing in developing the next generation.

“The new computer labs are set to enhance the learning experiences of hundreds of learners from the three schools, enabling them to acquire essential digital skills that are crucial in an increasingly tech-driven world,” he noted.

On behalf of the schools, ‘Mamosa Tente acknowledged Vodacom’s immense support, further appealing to the ministry of education and training to actively seek funding to ensure that the multifaceted needs of their students are met.

Itumeleng Nkhahle, a grade 8 student at Mount Royal High School, said the computer labs represented a new chapter in their educational journey.

She said they were proof that every learner deserves access to quality education and a chance to grow.
