Embassy seeks to promote young talent

The Germany Embassy in Pretoria has hailed the Dance Music Industry workshop which seeks to promote young talent.

The two-day workshop was held at Headlines Restaurant in Maseru over the weekend to spread knowledge in the music industry.

Speaking at the event, Germany Embassy in Pretoria spokesperson Cammilla Andrade-Hartman said youth development is extremely important because “a strong youth is a strong future for everyone”.

Andrade-Hartman said the power of music is often underestimated, yet it has a great power to connect people, cultures and different classes.

She noted that is the reason the German Embassy had decided to invest in this project.

“The Embassy has partnered with DJs Ralf Gum and Christos for several years to bring the workshop to use.

“Following its massive success in South Africa, it is finally being held in Lesotho for the first time,” Andrade-Hartman added.
