CBL launches 2025-2027 strategy

The Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) has officially launched its 2025-2027 strategy and website.

This was done under the theme: ‘Driving Dynamics, Delivering Excellence, Your Central Bank of Today and Tomorrow’.

The strategy will safeguard monetary and financial stability, transform effectiveness, efficiency and resilience. It will also enhance organisational capacity and culture.

Speaking at the launch on Friday, CBL governor Dr. Maluke Letete said the strategy was developed to respond to emerging challenges.

Dr Letete noted that the world is now complex and driven by technological advancements, hence the need for central bankers to stand up and advise governments.

“Central bankers must protect their integrity in society as much as possible to ensure that monetary systems are fully protected.

“As CBL we looked forward and stretched our minds into the future to find our way in the difficult path of this uncertain world,” he added.
