A day in the wine world

Khahliso Travel Adventures is set to host a Guided Wine and Food Pairing experience in Maseru on May 3, 2025, promising a sensory journey to wine country.

Themed ‘A Day in the Wine Lands,’ the third annual Wine and Food Pairing experience promises to transport attendees on a sensory journey through exquisite food, wine, and meaningful connections.

Khahliso Travel Adventures, is a destination and experience management company based in Lesotho.

In an interview with theReporter, the Founder and Managing Director of Khahliso Travel Adventures, Hape Matsepe, shared her vision behind the event.

“It’s food, it’s wine, it’s friends. It’s love,” she said, emphasising the immersive and interactive nature of the experience.

The event will feature a welcome drink, a four-course pairing session, and a variety of engaging activities designed to create lasting memories.

Asked about the inspiration behind the event, Matsepe revealed that it stems from her deep love for life and a passion for creating meaningful experiences.

“My goal is to create a fun and immersive culinary journey where guests can enjoy exceptional food, perfectly paired wines, and genuine human connections,” she said.

She hopes attendees will leave feeling as though they’ve experienced the essence of wine country.

The event is not just about fine dining and wine; it’s also about building brand awareness.

“My main goal is for people to learn about my brand and have a great time. We want this to be a fun, memorable experience that leaves them wanting more,” Matsepe noted.

To ensure engagement, the event will include tasting cards for all wines, giveaways throughout the day, and a specially curated goodie package for attendees. The package will include a custom-designed tag, the menu, the itinerary, and other surprises.

When asked about the types of wines featured, Matsepe hinted at a mix of local and international selections but kept the details under wraps. “It’s a secret,” she teased. “You’ll find out when you book your spot and receive your goodie package. But I promise, it will be worth it.”

One of the challenges Matsepe highlighted, was balancing affordability on one hand, with excellence on the other.

“We want to offer a premium yet inclusive experience. We’re grateful for the support of our partners, including the LakeHouse in Hillsview, who have been instrumental in making this event possible,” she indicated.

The event is open to everyone, and Matsepe expressed her gratitude to those who will attend. “Everyone who shows up is a special guest. We want them to leave loving the experiences we curate and eager to do more with us.”

Khahliso Travel Adventures hopes to make this an annual event, depending on attendee feedback. With a focus on creating unforgettable experiences, the company is poised to continue delivering exceptional events and trips that leave a lasting impression.

In short, “A Day in the Wine Lands” promises to be a day of wine, food, and connection, where attendees will leave not only full but also inspired.
