Butha Buthe to experience loadshedding

The Lesotho Electricity Company has warned residents of Butha Buthe district to expect temporary power outrages due to disruptions in the electricity supply from ESCOM network.

In a notice issued today, LEC stated that the electricity supply to Butha Buthe comes from the corridor of Clarens in South Africa.

“We areactively working on mitigation measures to ensure that no household or business experiences an outage for more than an hour.

“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation during this period. Efforts are underway to stabilise the electricity supply and we anticipate that normal operations will resume soon as ‘Muela is set to restart operations,” reads the notice from LEC.
