Moorosi joins elite African women’s leadership club

Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Nthati Moorosi, has been selected for the prestigious 2025 Amujae Leaders Cohort, joining 12 other exceptional women in Africa’s premier public leadership initiative.

Moorosi was chosen by the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf Presidential Center for Women and Development, founded by Nobel Peace Prize laureate and former Liberian President, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, in 2020.

The Amujae Initiative is a groundbreaking leadership programme aimed at elevating African women to the highest levels of public leadership in government, business, and civil society.

The programme is widely celebrated for not only preparing women to lead but for fundamentally transforming the paradigms of power in Africa.

Moorosi’s inclusion in the fourth cohort highlights her significant contributions and potential in African leadership.

In her statement marking the announcement of the 2025 cohort, Sirleaf expressed confidence that this group of women represents “Africa’s next wave of women shaping leadership from the frontlines.”
