LNIG Hollard pumps M1m into gospel event

Insurance company, LNIG Hollard has officially committed to a transformative three-year headline sponsorship of Lesotho’s premier gospel event, the Gospel Xplosion, now renamed the LNIG Hollard Gospel Xplosion.

The partnership, valued at M1, 000,000, will be distributed over three years

The sponsorship will be disbursed as follows: M250, 000.00 in 2025, M300, 000.00 in 2026, and M350,000.00 in 2027.

Speaking at the launch yesterday, LNIG Hollard chief executive officer, Mpho Vumbukani, highlighted that this is not the beginning of their journey with the Gospel Xplosion.

Vumbukani said in previous years, the support was modest, a token of intent.

“But as our capacity grew, so did our commitment. This partnership is a testament to our belief in the power of faith, community, and purpose-driven collaboration,” he said.

Representing Jam Session Sounds, event directorNthabiseng Mokitimi reflected on the event’s inspiring journey.

Mokitimi said their story began in 2022 with a humble gathering of just over 400 people at Mokete wa Thoriso.

She said that seed has grown by God’s grace into Lesotho’s premier gospel concert, drawing over 3,000 worshippers in 2024, including Her Majesty, the Queen.

“Lesotho Gospel Xplosion is more than a concert. It is a sacred space for healing, worship, and spiritual renewal. From the beginning, we envisioned a gospel lifestyle experience one that honours God through excellence in production, hospitality, and ministry,” Mokitimi noted.

The event has hosted powerful spiritual leaders such as Moruti Elsie (LECSA), Bishop Sekete, and Moruti Maine, alongside celebrated gospel artists including Minister Spokes, Lebo Sekgobela, Sbu Noah, Bucy Radebe, and Puleng March.
