RSL launches mobile offices

Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) has launched mobile offices to expand access to its services across the country.

Speaking at the launch event on Friday, RSL Commissioner General ‘Mathabo Mokoko underlined the organisation’s commitment to investing in people and technology.

Mokoko also highlighted the importance of making RSL services more accessible to all Basotho, aiming to improve lives and support economic development.

“In doing this job, we want to make sure our services are accessible to everyone,” she said.

She noted that RSL is working to make tax collection easy, efficient, and appealing, so that Basotho, businesses, and investors find it convenient and even enjoyable to fulfill their tax obligations for the benefit of the nation.

Mokoko explained that not all citizens are able to reach fixed RSL offices, which is why the mobile office initiative was launched.

“These mobile units will travel throughout the country to ensure broader access. Their launch follows numerous concerns from taxpayers who have found it difficult to access our services,” she added.

The mobile offices are fully equipped to provide a wide range of essential services, bringing convenience and efficiency directly to taxpayers. Among the key offerings are services available through RSL’s digital platforms, including:

• eTax – enabling taxpayers to register, file, and manage their taxes electronically;

• eTCC – for obtaining electronic Tax Clearance Certificates;

• eVAT 11 – supporting VAT-related processes;

• ePayments – for seamless and secure tax payments; and

• eFiling – allowing for quick and accurate submission of tax returns.
