Mosobela, Matetoa shine at Miss and Mr Teen Lesotho

Poelo Mosobela and Katleho Matetoa were crowned Miss and Mr Teen Lesotho 2025 during a dazzling pageant held at Victory Hall in Maseru on Saturday.

The event brought together some of the country’s most promising young talents, but it was the Maseru-based Mosobela and Matetoa who claimed the top honours on a day filled with glitz, confidence, and heartfelt passion.

Following her crowning moment, a beaming Mosobela said the title is a dream come true. Inspired by Miss Teen Lesotho 2022, Emily Matlanyane, Mosobela revealed that she had envisioned herself wearing the crown ever since.

“Honestly, it was difficult juggling school, Taekwondo, and pageant preparations, but discipline, support, focus, and time management got me through,” Mosobela shared.

More than just a beauty queen, Mosobela is a driven change-maker. Through her crochet project for orphans, she promotes youth empowerment and self-reliance.

Her vision is to fight youth unemployment by teaching practical skills and encouraging young people to believe in their potential.

“I will use my voice and platform to remind teens that their talents and ideas can change their lives. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it,” she told theReporter in an interview.

Mosobela credits her success to purpose-driven preparation, staying informed, and staying grounded in her mission to serve. “Confidence comes from knowing your purpose and knowing when to ask for help,” she added.

Meanwhile, Katleho Matetoa, who was crowned Mr Teen Lesotho, said he balances school and pageantry by dedicating weekends to his pageant work. Calm and grounded, he shared that he doesn’t let the crown define him.

“I always remind myself that I’m already a winner. The title doesn’t determine my worth,” Matetoa pointed out.

With their crowns in place, both Mosobela and Matetoa are ready to lead by example, using their platforms to inspire, uplift, and empower Lesotho’s youth.
