The Lesotho Youth Power Hub is today hosting a networking pitso at Manthabiseng Convention Centre in Maseru. The meeting is being held under the theme ‘Advancing Youth Economic Empowerment through Access to Finance for Inclusive and Sustainable Livelihoods.’
The pitso is bringing together youth representatives from all the country’s 10 districts, young entrepreneurs, aspiring business owners, and youthengaged in formal and informal economic activities.
Through structured dialogue, peer learning, and stakeholder engagement, the meeting will explore how inclusive, innovative, and youth-friendly financial solutions can unlock sustainable livelihoods.
The Lesotho Youth Power Hub, a joint initiative of the European Union, UNICEF, and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) is designed to foster an inclusive, participatory, and accountable environment that empowers young people in Lesotho to actively participate in decision-making processes, ensuring their voices are heard and their engagement is sustained over time.
Running from 2024 to 2029, the initiative targets young people aged between 10 to 25, with a special focus on adolescent girls and young women, youth living with disabilities, those living in rural areas, migrants, and youth in the diaspora.
